Paul’s prayer for the Ephesian church reminds us that spiritual strength, a deeper knowledge of Christ’s love, and renewed life in the church all begin with earnest prayer. Rev. John Phillips challenges us to move beyond distracted prayer and seek the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus does not merely possess power. He carries the authority of God to teach, heal, forgive, and transform, and through him we are equipped to resist evil and serve a hurting world with grace.

In Luke 23, we see Jesus walking toward the cross with love, mercy, and forgiveness even as He is mocked and condemned. This sermon reminds us that Christ could have saved Himself, but He chose the cross so our sins could be taken away.
